How it works

Light goes in. Sound comes out.

    Light is delivered

    The scanner sends pulses of near‑infrared light into the body without physical contact.

  2. 02

    Blood is heated

    Blood vessels absorb energy from different colors of light to reveal the oxygen saturation level.

  3. 03

    Sound is generated

    Sudden heating causes expansion, generating a faint ultrasonic signal.

  4. 04

    Vibration is seen

    An interferometric laser listens to tiny acoustic vibrations on the skin, all from a distance, no probe contact or gel.

Each scan is designed to produce a 3-D map of blood and oxygenation, distinguishing oxygen-rich from oxygen-poor blood.
